Growing up in Georgia, Dan McKenzie attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn and then graduated from Georgia Tech in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. “In 2001, I could not get a Mortgage Broker to call me back or give me information regarding the costs of a mortgage, so I decided to get into the mortgage service business and make it a point to over communicate with my clients.” Since 2001, and thousands of loans later, Dan continues to live by that promise. As a Mortgage Broker and Managing Partner, Dan helped Design of Alpharetta, GA to deliver communication to every person involved in the Mortgage/Real Estate Transaction throughout the loan refinance or purchase Process. Dan’s naturally curious and analytical mind drive him to constantly review mortgage loan programs and customer goals to provide the best loan option for their financial future.
Community is important to Dan. He has been a member of Kiwanis International, active on his HOA Board, assisted with Habitat for Humanity and has had numerous leadership roles with Powercore of North Gwinnett. In addition to service organizations Dan has assisted friends, that he believed in, with their political Campaigns. Dan is a member of John’s Creek Rotary Club where he enjoys raising money for Special Olympics and Turning Point Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Center.
Dan enjoys watching his children and grandchildren in their activities, tennis, fishing and hunting. Every spring, he enjoys growing the family vegetable garden.
